Veca has a department entirely dedicated to EDM, both sinker (EDM) and wire (WEDM).
The EDM process uses sequential electrical discharges to remove material from the surface of the workpiece.
The importance of this technology lies in its ability to machine extremely hard metals and carry out micro-machining that is impossible with traditional tools.
Sinker EDM is generally performed to give the workpiece a shape complementary to that of the electrode (male).
With wire EDM, on the other hand, the electrode consists of a conductive wire that cuts, profiles and drills the component, depending on the type of machining to be carried out.
